Artwork Requirements
Definition of Camera
Ready Artwork - The better the art, the better the
end result! Artwork printed black on white paper that is large,
clean, crisp, and production ready, without touch up or changes
required. Epoxy pad printing with multiple color imprints
requires color-separated artwork with registration marks.
KnivesAndFlashlights.com reserves the right
to determine acceptability of supplied artwork. We print
your logos to the maximum imprint area on each individual item
as deemed fitting for effect, unless otherwise instructed.
Screened, half-tone and ÒuntrappedÓ artwork is not acceptable.
Best procedure is to send what you have, as large as you have,
and let our art department determine if any extra cost are to
be incurred. Our art department will make minor changes
at no charge. Creative art can be produced at $20.00 per
hour from our art department.
What is notCamera
Ready Artwork- We do not consider photocopies, business
cards, faxes, letterheads, or other imprinted products to
be camera-ready artwork. Best procedure is to send what
you have, as large as you have and let our art department
determine if any extra cost are to be incurred
Digital Artwork
- Artwork provided on PC compatible disk, ready for output,
and requiring no changes is expected. Artwork provided
electronically but not meeting our requirements will require
additional labor and artwork changes.

Artwork exchanged electronically (on disk or e-mail) requires
the file itself, all artwork, and all fonts used in the creation
of the file to insure proper translation in PC format.
Include a printed copy of your artwork with disk. If
sending your artwork by e-mail, please also fax a printed
copy of your artwork to avoid mistakes ( Fax Ð 270-686-7475
).
Always keep a copy of your original artwork file. Do
not send your only copy. No grayscale or full color
artwork, please. In order to avoid problems with fonts
in your document, please convert all occurrences of text into
outlines or curves. Formats that generate bitmap images
will not have problems with fonts but must be high resolution
(400 dpi minimum) to ensure detail and clarity are maintained.
Supplied artwork to be a minimum size of 4". Output
customized imprints will be sized for maximum effect.

Acceptable File
Formats - in order of our preference: CorelDRAW!
(convert text to curves) .CDR file, .PLT file
for Plotter, CadCam, or AutoCAD file, .EPS Encapsulated
Post Script, .PDF Portable Document File, .AI
Adobe Illustrator file. Also acceptable formats
are .CMX, .JPEG, .TIFF, and .GIF formats.
